This role bridges mission needs, data architecture, and engineering execution by owning the technical backlog and guiding the design and evolution of enterprise data capabilities. The ideal candidate has strong experience with *modern data architectures* (data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, relational and NoSQL databases, streaming platforms) and *semantic technologies* (ontologies, RDF, graph databases). In addition, the candidate will bring expertise in *model-based systems engineering (MBSE)* and *configuration management (CM)* in accordance with *ANSI/EIA-649* and *IEEE 15288.2* standards, ensuring that data products and system configurations are rigorously controlled through the development lifecycle.*Responsibilities** Own and manage the technical backlog for enterprise data capabilities, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver mission-aligned data architecture solutions.* Design and evolve data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and storage solutions across relational, NoSQL and graph technologies.* Lead MBSE modelling efforts within a DoD acquisition program of record, ensuring digital models accurately reflect system requirements and support lifecycle decision making.* Work with configuration management practices"”planning, identification, change control, status accounting, and verification & audit"”in alignment with *ANSI/EIA-649*, an industry standard that defines principles and best practices for CM .* Support technical reviews, adhering to the *IEEE 15288.2* standard for systems engineering technical reviews and audits, which establishes requirements and timing for program reviews throughout the acquisition lifecycle.* Ensure accurate documentation and control of system configurations by managing engineering drawings, parts lists, bills of materials (BOMs), and applying drafting standards.* Collaborate with mission stakeholders, architects and engineers to prioritize work and deliver scalable data solutions.* Provide leadership and mentoring to team members, facilitate technical demos and Q&A sessions, and support sales/business development with technical presentations.*Required Education/Experience** *Security Clearance:* Secret or higher* *Education:* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field. _In lieu of a degree, at least four (4) years' demonstrated experience in a related technical field may meet this requirement._* *Experience:** Minimum *4 years* of demonstrated experience across data architecture, modeling, and data schema design/development.* Minimum *3 years* of experience implementing data technologies and capabilities such as data fabric, data mesh, data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse.* Minimum *3 years* of experience with graph, NoSQL, SQL or other relational and non-relational databases, including at least *3 years* of experience with graph databases.* *Configuration management:* Demonstrated understanding of EIA-649 principles for CM planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification & audit .* *MBSE & data management:* *4 years* of experience in data management with MBSE modelling within a DoD acquisition program of record, including familiarity with digital engineering environments and vaults principles.*Desired Education/Experience** *Advanced degree:* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.* *Data fabric enhancement:* At least *2 years* of experience enhancing data fabric architectures to support new features, implementing data fabric governance, and improving performance and scalability.* *Complex data models:* At least *2 years* of experience designing complex, inter-dependent data models for analytics and Machine-Learning use cases.* *Software integration:* At least *2 years* of experience architecting integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, specialized software, or databases.* *Cloud platforms:* At least *2 years* of experience with leading cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.* *Big data and analytics:* At least *2 years* of experience in big-data solutions, data architectures, data governance, data integration, business analytics, AI/ML or simulation analytics.* *Enterprise architecture:* At least *5 years* of experience with DoDAF (Department of Defense Architecture Framework) and enterprise architectures.* *Stardog and containerization:* Experience with *Stardog* graph platform and containerized environments such as *OpenShift*.* *Configuration management & technical reviews:* Experience applying *IEEE 15288.2* guidelines for systems engineering technical reviews and audits"”ensuring configuration baselines and documentation meet program requirements"”and familiarity with MBSE data vaults for secure configuration control.* *Engineering documentation:* Familiarity with engineering drawings, parts lists, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drafting standards to accurately document and manage system configurations.*Additional Desired Skills** *Configuration Management Standards:* Thorough understanding of configuration management principles and best practices.
