The ideal candidate should be organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and driven, in addition to possessing solid analytical and math skills. You'll work well on a team, be an excellent communicator, and have great follow-through. You are both a self-starter and a true team player who desires to continue growing and further hone your skills.Responsibilities of the role:Assist in producing cohesive estimates reflecting PMC's build philosophies based on information provided by the design team/clients.Review plans and architectural drawings; assist Sr. Estimator in determining best estimating strategies.Prepare requests for clarification/information to the design teams as needed.Support Senior Estimator in the solicitation of subcontractor bids for assigned projects. Develop a working knowledge of material unit costs, systems square foot costs, and total building square foot costs.Provide other services as directed, including change order pricing, site visits, and quantity take-offs.Help support bid presentations when needed.Work with clients, and maintain relationships to ensure client satisfaction with the project and the company.Study and analysis of historical cost data.Qualifications & RequirementsCollege degree related to Construction Management or Architecture, or equivalent industry experience.1-2 years of related estimating experience strongly preferred.Some Project Management experience is helpful.Understanding of residential construction processes.Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications with working proficiency.Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.Solid mathematical aptitude with high attention to detail.Proficiency in Excel and Word required, proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and MS Project helpful.Logical reasoning skills and solid multitasking capabilities.Experience in high-end residential construction beneficial.Salary and BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageHealth insurance, dental reimbursement plan, and HSAPaid vacation, sick leave, and additional holidays401K planESOPLocationOur office is located in Palo Alto.
