Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc., consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both firms in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team. LiRo-Hill is a 1,100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston, and Edison, NJ. This role represents a unique opportunity to help shape and grow LiRo-Hill's presence in New England, with a focus on public sector infrastructure and municipal clients, while collaborating with a deep, multidisciplinary bench across the region. We are seeking a highly motivated, relationship-driven civil/structural engineer with a background in transportation, bridge, and/or municipal infrastructure projects to lead our New England growth initiatives from our Newton office. This is a seller-doer leadership role focused on:Building and maintaining client relationships with agencies such as MassDOT, MBTA, and local municipalitiesSupporting and growing infrastructure-related opportunitiesServing as a local presence and client-facing leader, while leveraging LiRo-Hill's broader technical resources The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial mindset, strong local connections, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, multi-office delivery environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with public sector clients, including MassDOT, MBTA, and municipal agenciesSupport and lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client engagement, and industry involvementServe as a local technical and project leader for infrastructure and structural assignments, including bridges, transportation systems, and related facilitiesCoordinate with internal teams across NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey to deliver high-quality engineering servicesManage projects including scope, schedule, budget, and client communicationProvide technical oversight and QA/QC for structural and civil engineering deliverablesSupport multidisciplinary coordination with architecture, MEP, and site/civil teams in the regionMentor and help grow local staff as the New England team expandsRepresent the firm at industry events, professional organizations, and client meetingsAssist in shaping the strategic direction of LiRo-Hill's New England infrastructure and structures presence QualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)15+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering, with a focus on transportation and/or municipal infrastructure projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts, additional New England licensures preferredDemonstrated experience working with MassDOT, MBTA, and/or local municipalitiesProven ability to develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development effortsExperience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teamsStrong understanding of structural systems related to bridges and infrastructure, with working knowledge of building structures and/or site civil systemsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to work in a collaborative, multi-office environment and leverage remote technical resources Why Join LiRo-Hill in New England?Opportunity to play a key role in shaping and growing a regional presenceBacked by a deep bench of technical experts and resources across the NortheastExposure to a wide range of public sector infrastructure and multidisciplinary projectsCollaborative environment with architecture, MEP, civil, and structural teamsStrong company reputation and long-standing client relationships in the public sector We are committed to your success, and we invest in your growth and development to unlock your full potential.Competitive Total Compensation PackageEmployee- Only Stock Purchase PlanMentoring programsContinuing Education ProgramEmployee referral bonusVolunteer/Industry association opportunities Our Culture: We believe in the power of collaboration.
