Position: Litigation Paralegal "” Hybrid (Garden City, NY & Manhattan, NY) About the Firm Small, fast-paced litigation boutique with offices in Garden City and Manhattan handling commercial, real estate, employment, and general civil litigation.The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Collaborative team environment with frequent motion practice, depositions, and trial work.Position Summary Seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of heavy litigation experience to support attorneys across both offices on a hybrid schedule.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient with e-discovery and docketing systems, and comfortable handling high-volume discovery, motion preparation, and trial support.Key Duties & Responsibilities- Case management: maintain case files, calendar deadlines, manage dockets, and track statute of limitations and court deadlines across state and federal matters.- Discovery: prepare, serve, and respond to interrogatories, document requests, and requests for admission; manage electronic and paper document productions; prepare privilege logs.- E-discovery & document review: manage ESI collections, run searches and filters, review and code documents, prepare Bates numbering and produce documents using e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Concordance, Everlaw, or similar).- Drafting & filing: draft and format pleadings, motions, affidavits, exhibits, subpoenas, and correspondence; e-file and serve documents in state and federal courts and via NYSCEF where required.- Motion and trial support: compile and assemble exhibits, trial binders, chronologies, witness notebooks, bench books, hearing packets, demonstratives, and trial technology setup; coordinate and assist at depositions, hearings, and trials.- Deposition support: prepare witness binders, coordinate logistics, schedule court reporters, and manage exhibits and transcripts.- Legal research and drafting assistance: perform factual and procedural research, summarize deposition and document review findings, and assist in drafting memos and briefs.- Client and vendor coordination: communicate with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, court clerks, process servers, and other vendors; coordinate service of process and document deliveries.- Billing and administration: prepare time and expense entries, assist with cost estimates, track vendor invoices, and support case budgeting.- Supervision & training: mentor junior paralegals and clerical staff; delegate tasks and review work for accuracy and completeness.- Maintain confidentiality, ethical standards, and good file security practices.Qualifications- Minimum 3 years of substantive litigation paralegal experience in state and/or federal courts (heavy litigation exposure required).- Strong familiarity with discovery practice, e-discovery tools, document production workflows, and NY/EDNY/SDNY/Courts procedures and e-filing systems (e.g., NYSCEF, CM/ECF).- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills; ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.- Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), PDF tools, and case management/docketing software.- Experience preparing hearing and trial materials and comfortable working in courtroom settings.- Professional demeanor, client-service orientation, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.- Ability to travel between Garden City and Manhattan offices as required; hybrid schedule with designated in-office days.Preferred- Paralegal certificate or relevant degree.- Experience with Relativity, Everlaw, Concordance, or other leading e-discovery platforms.- Familiarity with billing practices and legal invoicing.Compensation & Benefits- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.- Health, dental, vision benefits; retirement plan options; paid time off; CLE/support for professional development.- Hybrid work schedule with required in-office collaboration days in Garden City and Manhattan.How to Apply Submit résumé, cover letter, and references to [ ] with subject line "Litigation Paralegal - Hybrid. xijylhu " Local candidates or those able to commute between offices preferred.
