FM/IM Medical Director opening in PhoenixAbout Position:Located in Phoenix, AZ Full-time, permanent positionSchedule: Monday-FridayServes as primary liaison between their Health Center and Chief Medical OfficerAssists with developing, coordinating and enforcing medical policies and procedures.Educates clinical staff on rationale and need for adherence to medical policiesAssists in implementing the Patient Centered Medical Home model including improving clinical workflows and patient satisfactionSupervises, monitors, audits and evaluates Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in their health center and other assigned health centersAssists with recruitment of medical staff, including interviewing with the development and coordination of diagnosis-related practices and guidelinesWorks cooperatively with the Health Center Practice Managers, and contributes to the evaluation of the Practice Manager in conjunction with the Director of OperationsLeads regular meetings of the medical staff at their health centerAssists in the maintenance of clinical coverage when neededMeets regularly with the Chief Medical Officer, and other medical leaders, to improve clinical care and processesOther duties as assigned by the Chief Medical OfficeEssential Skills and Experience:Medical Doctor or Doctor of OsteopathyMaster s degree or equivalent in Public Health Administration or related field preferredTwo years of experience working in a management capacity in a health care institution or agencyProof of successful National Board completion or certificationMeets requirements of Medical Staff membershipPrevious Outpatient experience preferredCurrent BLS Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)Demonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniquesAbility to meet and deal effectively with clients, associates, and the general publicBasic business English, spelling, and punctuation skillsBasic computer efficiencyValid AZ driver's licenseCompetency in dealing with people of various cultures and social statusValid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locationsBenefits:401(k), Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceLocation:Phoenix, AZ has a vibrant and diverse community with a mix of urban and suburban lifestyles. xijylhu It's known for its warm weather, outdoor activities, and relatively affordable cost of living compared to other major U.S.cities.
