We're modernizing how private lending operates, streamlining underwriting, processing, closing, and servicing through intelligent automation, data-driven insights, and applied AI.We're seeking an AI & Automation Developer to spearhead our next phase of technology transformation. This role will blend hands-on development with strategic implementation of AI and automation across multiple platforms including Salesforce, Encompass, Excel-based macros, APIs, and GPT/LLM integrations.You'll work closely with our Director of IT, Salesforce developers, Encompass Administrators, and operational teams to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact automation and AI initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce manual work, and build Temple View's internal technical muscle.*Key Responsibilities**AI & Automation Strategy & Implementation** Partner with leadership to identify automation opportunities across sales, underwriting, processing, closing, and post-close operations.* Evaluate and integrate third-party AI and automation vendors (e.g., document classification, data extraction, underwriting assist tools, workflow engines).* Develop, deploy, and maintain internal automations using Python, PowerShell, VBA, RPA, and APIs.* Lead proof-of-concept and pilot programs for new technologies (GPT models, OCR, NLP tools, API-driven RPA).*Development & Integration** Design and build internal automation tools that connect systems such as Salesforce, Encompass, SharePoint, Excel, and internal databases.* Build and manage API connections (REST/GraphQL) for data exchange between internal and vendor systems.* Develop and manage PowerShell and Python scripts for internal processes, data analysis, and workflow automation.* Collaborate with Salesforce and Encompass admins to design trigger-based automations that reduce repetitive manual tasks.*AI Enablement & Internal Capability Building** Build internal reusable frameworks for GPT/LLM-driven document analysis, pre-approval assistants, and data validation.* Partner with operational teams to convert manual review tasks (e.g., entity review, document review) into AI-assisted workflows.* Document architecture, logic, and dependencies for all automations to enable future maintainability.* Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to help Temple View develop long-term internal AI/automation capabilities.*Cross-Functional Collaboration** Collaborate closely with IT, Compliance, Underwriting, Processing, and Draw teams to design automations that align with real operational needs.* Act as technical lead for vendor integrations, managing vendor deliverables, security compliance, and data flow mapping.* Work directly with the COO and Director of IT to track project milestones, ROI, and automation success metrics.*Qualifications**Required Skills:** Strong programming foundation in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or VBA.* Experience with APIs, webhooks, and automation frameworks (UiPath, Power Automate, or similar).* Familiarity with Salesforce APIs, Encompass SDK, and database integrations.* Working knowledge of LLMs, GPT-based automation, and prompt engineering.* Experience automating workflows between Excel, Salesforce, and document management systems.* Solid understanding of data processing, SQL, and JSON/XML structures.* Strong documentation and communication skills for translating business requirements into technical implementation.*Preferred Skills:** Experience with Salesforce* Background in mortgage technology, fintech, or loan origination systems.* Experience with OCR and document classification tools (e.g., Amazon Textract, Google Vision, Hyperscience, etc.).* Understanding of machine learning workflows, vector databases, and data annotation pipelines.* Familiarity with LLM integrations (OpenAI, Azure AI, Anthropic, etc.).* Experience leading small development or automation projects.*Education & Experience** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).* 4+ years of hands-on automation, scripting, or systems integration experience. xijylhu * Proven track record of delivering production-grade automation in a business or fintech environment.Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: Hybrid remote in Bethesda, MD 20814
