Desktop Support Technician

The successful candidate must plan his/her work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership.*Specifically*:* Setup, configure, and deploy workstations, laptops and associated peripherals for new employees and new production workstations.* Install and maintain security software solutions on all networked workstations; monitor workstations using network monitoring tools (eg. Lansweeper) to ensure all computers are compliant with the latest security software.* Respond to user support tickets in a timely manner; triage requests appropriately linked to the scope and severity of the problem.* Manage employee onboarding and offboarding for user accounts and equipment.* Monitor and maintain IT inventory via network monitoring tools.* Configure and maintain all peripheral equipment such as printers, monitors, docking stations, and conference room audio/visual equipment.*Requirements*:* Associates degree in Information Technology* 3 years experience in end-user support* Proficient in Windows desktop/laptop troubleshooting* Familiar with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)* General understanding of Office 365, Active Directory (AD), and remote support tools* Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently*Apply:* Avo Photonics offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.
