The Ultrasound Technologist performs, under routine supervision, Ob/Gyn sonograms, biophysical profiles, non-stress tests and AFI's. Assists with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling procedures. Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next great career move! Primary Duties: - Performs sonographic evaluations of fetal morphology, age, growth assessment, and color doppler studies. Performs ultrasound exams utilizing different scanning modalities as required by the patient's condition and/or examination requested. - Evaluates images for quality. Photographs appropriate images utilizing multiformat cameras. May access, manipulate, store, and print M.I. digital images. Reviews processed images with physicians. - Enters data to generate sonographic report. Works with physicians, nursing staff and schedulers to ensure patients are seen promptly. - May assist in training and education of patients, employees, physicians, students and/or other healthcare professionals. - Cleans and sterilizes equipment and procedure table before and after each procedure. May be responsible for or assist in control inventory and purchasing of supplies for assigned area. Qualifications: - High School Diploma/GED or Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound. - 1-2 years in OB/GYN ultrasound. - RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) registered within 180 days of hire. xijylhu - NT certification within 1 year of hire.
