Description Maintainer is seeking an experienced, dedicated and skilled Painter to join our team in the service truck industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that the surfaces of various service and lube bodies, and service cranes are properly coated and protected through professional painting techniques. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate paint materials, and applying coatings to ensure durability and compliance with industry standards. This position demands a high level of attention to detail and an understanding of various painting methods, as the quality of the work directly impacts the safety and longevity of our service trucks. Painters can earn up to $30 per hour depending on experience level. ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.Mix paints and finishes as per manufacturer specifications to achieve desired color and texture.Apply paint using spray techniques to ensure even coverage, finish and quality.Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and rectify any imperfections promptly.Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools after use to ensure proper functioning and longevity.Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.Document work completed and track inventory of materials used for projects. RequirementsProven experience as an industrial painter in a similar industry or a related field IE. Collision repair, service truck manufacturing, fire and rescue body manufacturingStrong knowledge of various paint types, techniques, application methods and equipment including: HVLP, electrostatic, pressure pots and plural mix machines.Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including specifications and safety instructions.Ability to utilize computers and tablets to access work orders, work instructions and perform quality inspectionsExcellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship and finishing.Physical stamina and strength to work in varying conditions and protectively handle paint materials.Familiarity with safety standards and regulations specific to industrial painting.Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends as needed.
