Title: Contract General Counsel Consultant (IT Services and IPO Experienced)Location: Remote with occasional paid travel every 6 months to New York or TexasDegree/Certification Required: JD and active US Bar License to Practice LawDuration: 12-15 months with the potential to extendShift Hours: Part-Time W2 Contractor, 15-25 hours per weekPay Rate: $100-140.00 per hourJob Description:LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a highly experienced Temporary General Counsel Consultant with a strong background in IT services and IPO processes. This is a part-time, long-term W2 contractor position that is primarily remote but will require occasional paid travel.Key Responsibilities:Mentorship and Coaching: Act as a mentor to help guide a team through the IPO process and provide insights and learnings from your experience in public companies. You will not have decision-making capabilities or act as the General Counsel but will serve as a coach and consultant.Organizational Skills: Assist in building and scaling the legal team, including leveraging AI technology for efficiency and budgeting.Compliance: Help enhance current compliance practices in preparation for the IPO and provide best practices for public companies.Flexibility: Be flexible with your schedule and able to travel to Dallas or New York for board meetings and other important events. Paid travel is expected approximately once every six months for a week, aligning with board meetings or significant customer events. Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active and in good standing with a US Bar Association.Extensive experience in IT services and IPO processes.Proven track record of mentoring and coaching legal professionals.Strong organizational skills and experience in building and scaling legal teams.Expertise in compliance practices for public companies.Ability to travel as required.
