Printing Press Team Lead (Temp to Perm)

This is a temp (3-6 mo) to perm position. Once converted to perm you will be eligible for the company's full benefits package. Shift: 7:30AM to 4:00PM Must be able to successfully pass a background check, drug test and driver's report check. As a Print Production Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality output and maintaining production efficiency. This position will work closely with other team members to facilitate projects of varying scale within tight deadlines. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in print production processes, be proficient in prepress, leadership experience, and have a willingness to learn the digital printing equipment, but not necessarily be the one running it. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The specialist will be responsible for prepress, color management, quality control, creating samples, and providing print solutions support to the team. Responsibilities: Receive and process high-resolution customer files, ensuring they meet print specifications while adhering to production schedules. Prepare files for print and operate digital printing equipment as required. Translate orders through the internal ticketing system into job production, reviewing requests in advance to address any concerns with the design team or requester. Ensure adequate time is scheduled and materials are acquired for production. Maintain a strong focus on quality control, ensuring all jobs meet high standards of accuracy and consistency. Qualifications: Experience in prepress and digital print production workflows. Proven ability to supervise, train & collaborate with other team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Proficiency with MAC-based print/production software, including Adobe Creative Suite, XMF, and RIP software Fiery & Xitron. Previous experience in a digital press/printing environment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, job tickets, and production specifications. High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant work experience preferred
