Plant Superintendent

Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in southern Minnesota who is seeking an experienced Plant Superintendent. This person is going to be responsible for overseeing the Smoked meat division of their processing facility, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance. This is going to be a start-up environment so looking for a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong background in food production and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.Qualifications:2-3 years in Plant Leadership as a Production Supervisor or SuperintendentNeed to have experience with high-volume pork processing, smoked meatsPlant start-up/experience within a growth environment highly preferred!Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skillsResponsibilities:Work closely with full operation management team which includes maintenance, QA, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and human resourcesEnsure company standards are achieved with an emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure, and training for employeesAnalyze production performanceEnsure operating equipment are running smoothly and effectivelyMaintain compliance with established policies and proceduresMaintain workflow by monitoring and developing processing instructions, observing control points and equipment, monitoring staffExecute product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flowTargeting $85k - $90k baseRelocation assistance considered for candidates outside the area!Are you looking for an opportunity to lead a great company?
