MINIMUM EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or GED required with minimum skill requirements. MINIMUM EXPERIENCEDemonstrated basic mechanical aptitude through background or hobbies in agriculture, automotive or other technical areasIn lieu of demonstrated mechanical aptitude, two (2) years of FedEx Operations Sortation equipment knowledge will be considered or currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program for Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or related disciplineRelated military technical experience and electrical or mechanical trade experience will be considered KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESPossess basic mechanical aptitudeBasic electrical and mechanical skills preferredAbility to solve basic mechanical or electrical problems, which may include understanding of basic engineering formulasAbility to diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues visually or audibly apparent at the single component levelEffective verbal and written communication within own department to peers, managers, and outside vendors to convey basic technical data and needsAbility to follow detailed instructionsSoftware skills, including Microsoft Office suite and other web-based applicationsPossess time management and organizational skills JOB CONDITIONSWill need to use hand tools and possibly power toolsMay be working in hot or cold temperaturesMay need to stand, walk, bend, stoop and squatPreferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: Pay: Additional Details: Full Time | Rotating Shifts (Overnight/Weekend Availability Required)All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
