Job Title: Commercial Project Manager - Education, Healthcare & Athletic Facilities Location: Southern California Employment Type: Full-Time | Exempt Reports To: Director of Construction / Senior Project ExecutiveAbout the Role: We are seeking a skilled and driven Commercial Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a construction professional with experience managing complex commercial projects"”specifically K-12 schools, higher education facilities, healthcare developments, and athletic or aquatic centers. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leadership, collaboration, and successful project delivery within occupied and schedule-sensitive environments.Key Responsibilities:Lead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutManage project budget, schedule, subcontractor coordination, and quality controlCollaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and public agenciesPrepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and reportsEnsure safety compliance across all job sites in coordination with the field teamFacilitate internal and external project meetings to track progress and resolve issuesMentor project engineers and assistant PMs, fostering a strong team dynamicCoordinate with field superintendents to ensure effective scheduling and trade sequencingDeliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standardsMinimum Qualifications:5 years of experience in commercial construction project managementStrong portfolio of successfully delivered public or private sector projects in K-12, higher education, healthcare, or athletic/aquatic facilitiesBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project/Primavera P6, and MS Office SuiteDeep understanding of construction means and methods, local building codes, and DSA/OSHPD compliance (if applicable)Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable building practicesPrevious experience with CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, and/or Lease-Leaseback delivery methodsFamiliarity with local public contracting requirements, prevailing wage, PLA/CCPLA complianceSpanish language proficiency is a plusWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and performance-based bonusesComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off, holidays, and flexible work policiesCareer development opportunities and a strong team-oriented cultureAbout Us:We are woking with a respected commercial general contractor known for building impactful public and private projects across the region.
