Maintenance Technician Compensation: $18- $30 per hour (Based on experience and qualifications) Entry-level: $18 - $23 per hour Mid-level: $22 - $25 per hour Experienced candidates with relevant certifications/skills: $24 - $28 per hour Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electroplating tanks, rectifiers, pumps, air compressors, exhaust systems, and other facility equipment. Preventive Maintenance: Implement and adhere to a scheduled maintenance plan to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Facility Maintenance: Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical systems, and general building infrastructure to uphold a safe and functional work environment. Chemical Handling Support: Assist with the safe handling, transfer, and maintenance of chemicals used in plating processes, ensuring proper ventilation and containment system functionality. Emergency Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and implement solutions to maintain production continuity. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to OSHA and environmental safety regulations, ensuring all maintenance activities support workplace safety and compliance standards. Process Improvement: Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement equipment upgrades and efficiency improvements. Ideal Candidate Profile Proven experience in industrial equipment maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or metal finishing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and stay organized with minimal supervision. Safety-conscious and comfortable working around chemicals (protective gear provided). Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing hands-on maintenance work. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in electroplating, chemical processing, or metal finishing maintenance. Familiarity with industrial pumps, motors, and rectifiers. Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (e.g., replacing motors, diagnosing wiring issues). Welding or fabrication experience (preferred but not required).
