Production - Deck Utility

Since 1969, we've led the industry in developing innovative technologies for recycling scrap into high-quality steels that are all around us, from bridges and buildings to cars and appliances.Basic Job Functions: The responsibilities of the Deck Utility position include, but are not limited to, working all positions on the deck main line, the cell deck line, and in accessories. Responsibilities also include operating a forklift and an overhead crane. Additionally, this role involves assisting in safety and housekeeping tasks, along with other assigned duties. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Compensation Data Starting compensation for this role ranges from $14.77 - $16.61 per hour and is eligible for a weekly Production Bonus and annual division earned Profit Sharing bonus. When factoring in the Production Bonus using a 4-year average, starting annual pay ranges between approximately $65,000 - $75,000 per year. After training is completed, future compensation for this role ranges from $17.54 - $18.46 per hour plus the weekly Production Bonus. When factoring in the Production Bonus using a 4-year average, the future annual pay ranges from approximately $75,000-$85,000 per year. Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrate the values that make up the Nucor culture and be willing to work a flexible schedule Prior completion of Forklift training or successful completion within the first 3 months. High School Diploma or equivalent or 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
