This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes cases, presenting an excellent platform for professional growth and development. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team, working alongside some of the industry's most accomplished attorneys, and will be expected to contribute to the resolution of intricate legal issues.Responsibilities:1. Assist in managing all aspects of litigation matters in both state and federal courts, from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.2. Conduct thorough and detailed legal research to identify relevant laws, judicial decisions, legal articles, and other materials that can be used to address legal issues.3. Represent clients in court, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits on their behalf, and arguing motions and other court hearings.4. Develop litigation strategies in consultation with senior attorneys and clients, considering the facts of the case, the client's goals, and the applicable laws.5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes without proceeding to trial.6. Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases and advising them on legal rights and obligations.7. Participate in firm marketing and business development efforts, including networking events and client seminars.Qualifications:1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.2. Must be an active member in good standing with the CA state bar.3. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a litigation attorney, preferably in a law firm environment.4. Demonstrated experience in managing complex litigation matters, including conducting discovery, drafting and arguing motions, and handling settlement negotiations.5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in the face of legal challenges.7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.8. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.10. Proficiency in legal research software and other relevant technology.
