Accentuate Staffing is looking to hire a Safety & Training Coordinator to join a leading construction company in Selma, NC. This role is instrumental in promoting a culture of safety and continuous learning across the organization. You will develop, deliver, and evaluate safety and training programs to ensure our workforce is knowledgeable, compliant, and prepared to work safely and effectively. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in construction safety, bilingual communication skills, and a passion for employee development. Responsibilities: Lead and conduct new employee safety and training orientations. Own and manage the entire fleet driver safety program: orientation, assessment, ride-alongs, accident reporting, review, and remedial training. Perform training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted improvements. Maintain adequate inventory levels of safety equipment and PPE. Conduct Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) and ensure adherence to safety protocols and training programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and recommend enhancements. Maintain accurate safety and training records in compliance with regulatory standards. Plan, schedule, and conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks. Maintain and update the safety program and policy handbook. Oversee incident/accident reporting, root cause analysis, and retraining as required. Monitor and utilize the fleet GPS tracking system for driver safety and performance. Update and manage OSHA logs and ensure compliance with OSHA reporting requirements. Prepare job safety reports to support project bidding processes. Coordinate facility and grounds safety measures. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bilingual: Fluent in both written and verbal English and Spanish. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Safety/Training Coordinator role within the construction industry. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record (3+ years). Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Confident, engaging, and effective communicator across various presentation settings. Strong technical writing skills for documenting training activities, assessments, and reports. Working knowledge of workers' compensation regulations and occupational health standards. Proven ability to build rapport and influence across diverse teams. Skilled in assessing, coaching, and motivating employees to embrace safety practices. Technologically adept, including experience using digital tools for training and documentation. Able to independently develop training materials, course outlines, and procedural documents. OSHA construction certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Coordinate third party safety reviews including OSHALead the Industrial Hygiene Program, providing guidance to sites regarding sampling requirements, tracking sampling progress and ensuring required samplingProvide technical safety and health support to production personnelBuy in,' at all levels within the AreaDevelop safety and healthprograms and objectives and coordinate safety training programsProvide assistance to the On-site teamProvide CPR/First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator certification for Universal Protection Service employeesProviding necessary training, development and coaching to advance the overall safety performance of the companyEducate site leaders on new processes and procedures and to promote the Safety Journey fundamentalsParticipate in company occupational safety and health committeeProvide coaching, defensive driving and training programs for prevention of accidents, injuries, CSA and OSHA violations, and to maintain regulatory complianceProvide regular feedback to team members regarding trainingRecruiting for a Site Safety TrainerCoordinating continuing education for employeesAssist with completion of the Corporate VPP annual report, and provide support to sites submitting VPP Star applications and VPP annual reportsDevelop processes and program content that support safety and health for all sitesCoordinate instructor and operator training for customer's employeesPrepare the delivery of training and learning environment preparationAssist in the development and revision of safety standards, policies, plans, forms, and procedures, and ensure comply with local, stateUse established content to deliver construction-related safety training
