Community Relations Communication Specialist

We're looking for a Community Relations Communication Specialist to join a dynamic project team supporting gas and electric infrastructure projects in the Watertown, NY area. This role plays a key part in managing public outreach, stakeholder communication, and relationship-building across complex, multimillion-dollar projects. You'll work directly with landowners, business owners, and internal stakeholders to foster understanding and trust around infrastructure work that affects their communities. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the communications and stakeholder engagement lead for major construction and utility projects. Build strong relationships with community members, landowners, business leaders, and internal teams. Develop and execute communication plans to proactively address project impacts (traffic, environmental concerns, etc.). Attend and help lead in-person open houses and public events"”some during evenings"”as part of the outreach strategy. Create clear, easy-to-understand messaging and materials from complex technical data. Support internal and external communication needs throughout all project phases. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Political Science, Environmental Science, Business, or related field "” OR equivalent experience (4+ years).
