Flexible hybrid schedule Medical, dental and vision coverage at Career developmentExcellent PTORetirement plansLife insurance Tuition reimbursementJob DetailsThe Financial Reporting Accountant plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements and audit documentation.Responsibilities: This role involves close collaboration with internal finance personnel, leadership, and third-party auditors to manage all phases of the audit lifecycle. Responsible for assembling annual financial disclosures and audit documentation in alignment with accounting principles such as U.S. GAAP (historical cost or fair value), regulatory frameworks, and internal policies. Draft and examine footnotes to the financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, consistent, and meet required disclosure standards. Support the annual audit process by coordinating with auditors and internal teams throughout the planning, execution, and finalization stages. Respond to audit inquiries by liaising with various departments to collect supporting materials and ensure prompt and accurate responses. Work alongside auditors to resolve discrepancies, identify variances, and address any issues that arise during financial reporting. Perform accounting research to stay current with evolving standards, rules, and industry trends, offering insights and recommendations on complex matters. Partner with internal accounting groups to assist in the smooth adoption and rollout of updated accounting regulations and reporting requirements. Develop and uphold controls that ensure accounting methods and procedures are applied consistently across the organization. Provide accounting support for business events such as mergers, divestitures, and organizational changes, ensuring appropriate financial representation and transparency. Evaluate and implement financial reporting tools to drive efficiency and accuracy in the reporting workflow. Take part in special projects and ad hoc initiatives related to the broader scope of financial reporting and compliance.Qualifications: 4+ years of public accounting or mix of public and industry CPA preferred Energy experience preferredInterested in hearing more?
