Assembler - Shift 1

Job Title: Assembler/TesterShift: 1st Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMPay Rate: $17.50Job Summary:Accurately and efficiently assembles and tests products to meet customer quality and on-time delivery expectations. The role may include performing lockwiring, first-stage subassembly, and final detailing tasks, requiring limited judgment. Actively contributes to lean initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and reducing costs. Receives direct supervisory guidance.Key Responsibilities: Assembly and Testing: Perform basic assembly and testing functions using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement tools in a manufacturing environment. Record Keeping and Testing: Record test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters. Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives. Production and Inspection: Produce and inspect assemblies to ensure they conform to product specifications. Ensure all assemblies meet customer and/or industry standards. Painting and Surface Finishing: Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials such as paint, lacquer, and glaze. Mix paint and clean parts as needed. Lean Initiatives: Actively participate in lean initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions. Safety and Work Area Maintenance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area. Equipment Calibration: Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.
