BASIC PURPOSEPerforms the daytime warehouse functions: receives inbound product from vendors, tags and records product, restocks product into the pick and reserve slots and replenishes pick slots by letting down product from the reserve slots. This makes sure that the division maintains proper inventory levels and that the inventory is in place for fast and accurate selection during the night shift. Such selection is key for operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and compliance to U.S. Foodservice's food safety and RRE requirements.Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system. Move received product from the dock into the proper warehouse slots using forklift, pallet jack and hi-low.Completes required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.Transport pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.Record all product, equipment and warehouse damage.Maintain the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racksFollow safety policies and practices at all timesRELATIONSHIPSInternal: Day Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Control Clerk, Procurement Associates,External: Outside Drivers, Lumper servicesQUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.Related Experience: Previous warehouse experience preferred; experience with pallet jack or high lift preferred; Foodservice experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read and write legibly, basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide), good verbal communication skills; basic computer skills; Certification in warehouse equipment. Strong ability to get along with others. Must be able to understand Voxware commands.Intake Questionnaire1.
