CNC Machinist - Direct Hire

Are you a precision-driven individual with a passion for machining? Come work for a local company that's been an industry leader for over 100 years! Join our team as a CNC Machinist and become an integral part of our manufacturing process.  CNC Machinist Located in Canton, OH Earn up to $26.50/hour based on experience Afternoon shift 3 pm to 11 pm Monday - Friday, with some half days on Saturday as needed DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITYAs the CNC Machinist you will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC Lathes and/or Milling machines. Duties/Responsibilities Responsible for changing out cutters on Milling machines. Responsible for turning necks, facing, centering, etc on Lathe machines. Perform all tool changes on machines. Monitor CNC machine operation carefully to uphold close tolerances. Use of Jib cranes and dollies. Dislodge chips and handle chip pusher. Utilize check sheet for preventative maintenance. Check off paperwork associated with each job. Keep area clean, swept, and clear of debris, etc. Skills/Qualifications Previous experience setting up and operating CNC Machines. Must be able to move 50 lbs of material on a regular basis, with occasional 90 lbs of lifting. High school diploma or equivalent Will be subject to pre-employment drug and background screening.
