This role is integral to our team, playing a crucial part in maintaining and improving the quality and efficiency of our production line. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Tool and Die work, with a keen eye for detail, precision, and a deep understanding of the manufacturing process. Responsible for the setup and operation of tool grinding machines to sharpen or repair tools, fixtures, gauges, and cutters, according to specifications.2. Inspect, measure, and test completed tools to ensure they meet specified dimensions using precision measuring instruments.3. Select and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures.4. Perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions.5. Solve problems relating to unusual materials, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process.6. Collaborate with engineering, machine shop, and production personnel to develop and implement new product tooling and process improvements.7. Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.8. Document and maintain tooling history records and tooling life-cycle data.9. Continually seek to improve work processes and individual performance.Qualifications:1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool Grinder or similar role in a manufacturing setting.3. Extensive knowledge of Tool and Die work, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.4. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.6. Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.8. High level of manual dexterity and the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.9. Demonstrated commitment to quality, precision, and attention to detail.10.
