As a Business Development Trainee, you will learn to identify potential customers, communicate the vital benefits of TrueConnect, and guide them through the enrollment process, all within a supportive environment. This position is crafted for individuals eager to develop expertise in sales and business development, contribute to client acquisition goals, and grow professionally within a company committed to integrity, professionalism, and results-driven performance. Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Trainee Participate in thorough training initiatives to develop a comprehensive understanding of Olympus Solutions Inc.'s direct marketing strategies and TrueConnect's services. Learn to identify and engage with potential customers in direct, face-to-face settings, introducing them to TrueConnect's free and affordable telecom solutions. Assist in conducting needs assessments and verifying eligibility for individuals interested in TrueConnect services, including government assistance programs. Develop strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate the value proposition of TrueConnect to diverse audiences. Shadow and support experienced Business Development Managers in client acquisition activities and managing sales pipelines. Learn to accurately complete and submit customer enrollment applications, ensuring compliance with all program guidelines. Contribute to field marketing initiatives, assisting with promotional events and brand representation to expand market reach. Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions and enrollment progress within designated systems. Actively participate in ongoing coaching and mentorship sessions to enhance sales techniques, product knowledge, and business acumen. Minimum Qualifications of the Business Development Trainee A high school diploma or GED is required; some college or a bachelor's in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus. 0-1 years of experience in customer service, retail, sales, or a client-facing role, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a clear interest in business development. Exceptional verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport, engage diverse audiences, and clearly articulate information face-to-face. A strong work ethic and a proactive, goal-oriented mindset, with a genuine eagerness to learn and contribute to customer acquisition. High adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced direct marketing environment, with a willingness to embrace continuous learning and feedback. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing customer information and enrollment documentation. Basic computer proficiency with a willingness to learn CRM software and other relevant business tools. Must be a resident of the Bakersfield metropolitan area with reliable transportation, possessing a strong understanding of local communities and a dedication to serving them.
