Overview of the Purchasing Specialist role:• Develop and maintain vendor accounts to ensure strong supplier relationships.• Track and report key functions/metrics to reduce expenses and improve overall effectiveness.• Follow up with suppliers to confirm any order updates or changes.• Effectively partner and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms.• Collaborate with departments to review and adjust inventory levels as needed. Preferred Qualifications for the Purchasing Specialist role:• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.• Previous experience in purchasing or procurement.• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
