Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager / Project EngineerPrimary Function:Support the Project Manager in managing jobsite operations and ensure technical compliance with engineering standards, particularly for water or wastewater treatment plant projects.Key Responsibilities:Project Management Support: Assist with billing, change orders, cost analysis, and coordination Monitor labor reports and advise on crew size, methods, and equipment Support scheduling and overall daily project management Engineering Duties: Interpret specifications and prepare accurate production drawings Manage procurement, submittals, certifications, and material delivery Maintain project documentation and process vendor/subcontractor invoices Implementation & Communication: Build strong relationships with owners, engineers, and subcontractors Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with accurate cost forecasting Identify and pursue fair compensation for scope changes Safety & Team Building: Enforce safety policies and recommend improvements Foster team development and mentor junior staff Promote a dependable and collaborative work culture Qualifications: 4-year engineering degree or equivalent experience Experience with water or wastewater treatment plant projects is required Familiarity with Primavera and construction management practices Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to travel as needed #LI-KK2Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
