This is a hands-on Project Manager role leading new construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover. You'll oversee complex ground-up developments, coordinating field operations, design consultants, and subcontractors to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to spec.Client DetailsOur client is a reputable general contractor and construction manager with deep roots in the NYC market. They specialize in ground-up mid-rise residential, mixed-use, and institutional buildings across Brooklyn and Queens, with a growing reputation for craftsmanship, transparency, and a boots-on-the-ground approach to project execution.DescriptionManage ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutDirect all aspects of the project lifecycle including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, permitting, and subcontractor coordinationLead on-site meetings with owners, architects, and engineers; ensure alignment on design intent and construction methodologyReview and manage subcontractor scopes, bids, and buyoutsMaintain the master schedule and mitigate risks through proactive planningEnsure compliance with NYC DOB codes, safety protocols, and internal quality standardsOversee site staff and collaborate closely with the superintendent to ensure smooth field executionTrack and approve change orders, review monthly billing, and manage project financialsProfileYou're a confident, technically skilled project manager with a successful track record delivering ground-up projects in NYC.
