The Maintenance Manager directs daily operations to ensure optimal performance of both the department and the manufacturing plant, with a strong focus on electrical systems and controls. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with strategic oversight, emphasizing electrical engineering expertise to drive reliability and efficiency across all production equipment.Client DetailsMy client, just 30 minutes North of Charleston, develops specialized materials used in a variety of industrial applications, including aerospace and manufacturing. Operating internationally, it emphasizes innovation and high-performance solutions to meet complex technical needs.DescriptionYou will report to the Plant Manager and be responsible for: Leading/facilitating Maintenance meetingsDriving Lean, TPM, and 5S improvements in the departmentMonitoring WIP, SPI, raw materials, and spare partsEstablishing schedules and manpower, addressing shortfalls, and implementing RTG actionsReviewing Supervisors' standard workCoordinating with departments to improve throughputApproving requisitions and managing department budgetsMaintaining visual control of CI boardsOverseeing and improving Preventative Maintenance and Calibration programsProviding oversight of all purchasing activitiesManaging Stockroom, Maintenance, and Purchasing Coordinator personnelDriving employee engagement initiatives:Approving merit increasesConducting performance evaluationsInitiating employee recognitionMonitoring and evaluating training needsProfileA successful candidate will haveElectrical Engineering degree or equivalent 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment PLC, servo motor, and motion control familiarity Desire to go into management Familiarity working with technicians Troubleshooting and problem solving skills Job OfferThe candidate will receive:5+ years working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical maintenance Strong environmental and safety knowledge Electrical Bachelor's or equivalent experience preferred Preventative maintenance experience Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
