Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift Location: Plainfield, IN Shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM Overtime: Required as needed - includes early weekday starts (5:00 AM) and Saturday shifts (4-8 hours) Pay Rate: $17.50/hour Safety shoes required Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team on 2nd shift . This role is essential to warehouse operations, focusing on safe and efficient movement of materials using multiple types of powered industrial equipment. Ideal candidates will have strong counterbalance forklift experience , with additional experience in high reach and double pallet jacks being a plus. Key Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and other MHE (Material Handling Equipment) including: Counterbalance (preferred) High Reach Double Pallet Jack Move materials, parts, and finished products within the facility Maintain records of material movement Adhere to SOPs, quality, and safety guidelines Support general warehouse functions including inventory and logistics Follow instructions from supervisors and maintain communication with team Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED preferred , but not required 1+ year of recent relevant forklift/MHE experience required (in lieu of HS Diploma/GED) Familiarity with multiple types of MHE including: Order Pickers Reach Trucks Counterbalance (slip and clamp) Dock Stockers Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment Basic computer, math, reading, and documentation skills Effective verbal communication in English Work Environment & Physical Demands: Ability to lift/move 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Exposure to: Moderate to loud noise levels Temperature extremes (hot in summer, cold in winter) Moving mechanical parts and occasional airborne particles Frequent bending, climbing, standing, reaching, grasping, and repetitive hand motions If you are interested, please reach out to Chin Yang at A-Line Staffing. 586-323-4194 | Load from trucks using forkliftLoad and unload trucks using a forkliftUnload product into/from trucks using forklift/pallet jackComplete inhouse forklift training class and the forklift evaluation before operating a forkliftUnload trucks using forklift and other equipmentUnload materials using a forkliftOperate forklift truck using safe operating proceduresPerform forklift preventative maintenance checks and attend forklift safety meetingsCompleted before operating a forkliftOperate forklift to load/unload route trucks and inter-branch trailersUtilize a forklift to load and unload storage containers from delivery trucksOperate a sit-down/propane powered forklift or pallet jackAssist with ensuring a safe and clean working environment, inside and out, for assigned storage center locationUtilizing a forklift to load and unload storage containersOperate a sit-down or stand-up forkliftUnload products using forklift trucks and other material handling equipmentMaintain and operate transport equipment (forklift, lift trucks, tow trucks)Operate forklift using forklift safety procedures and perform daily shift forklift checksMaintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper counts and documentationUnload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
