Winder Technician

Winder Technician  Location Turtle Creek, PA Contract Duration 6+ Month Contract Compensation Pay Rate: $18-20, W-2 Work Schedule Must be flexible to work any shift as required. Common shifts include 1st and 3rd, with weekends and overtime expected. 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7 AM 1st Shift: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Candidates should be local. Responsibilities Wind coil on machine or directly into slots of rotors, stators, and armatures. Wind tape around coils by hand to insulate coils. Cut and form sheet insulation to fit slots. Insert coils into slots and pound to compress and shape windings. Paint coils with insulating varnish or enamel. Use brazing equipment consisting of induction, resistance, or torch. Obtain critical measurements and create wiring and blocking diagrams. Clean and prepare coils prior to winding. Essential Requirements 2 years of winding experience. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Ability to work overtime hours and shiftwork when needed. Good interpersonal skills, inclusive working style, and effective communication abilities. Desirable Attributes Mechanical skills. Technical Skills Proficiency with hand tools and measurement tools. Educational Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.
