This remote California-based role is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in public education law, employee discipline, administrative hearings, and compliance with the Education Code.Responsibilities:Defend school districts in employment disputes, including PERB and OAH hearingsAdvise on employee discipline, dismissal, and labor relationsProvide guidance on Education Code compliance, Title IX, and collective bargainingDraft legal documents and represent clients in administrative and court proceedingsOffer training and legal counsel to school administrators and HR teamsQualifications:J.D. from an accredited law school; active California Bar memberMinimum 10 years of employment law experience, with a focus on public school or public sector defenseStrong knowledge of California labor laws, Education Code, and PERB processesExcellent writing, advocacy, and client counseling skillsCalifornia residency with ability to attend occasional in-person hearings or meetingsCompensation: $200,000-$275,000 annually, based on experience.
