Customer Energy Management Project CoordinatorEmployment Type: Contract through 06/26/2026 (High potential for extension)Location: Kalamazoo, MIWork Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday) Position Summary:CMS Energy is seeking a Customer Energy Management Project Coordinator I to support the delivery of gas and electric services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This role involves coordinating multiple phases of service delivery projects"”design, scheduling, and field construction"”ensuring alignment with customer requirements and timelines.This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills, as well as the ability to manage projects with varying complexity from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary liaison between CMS Energy, customers, and third-party stakeholders. Scope, plan, and coordinate service projects related to gas and/or electric distribution systems. Estimate customer/system loads and provide accurate cost estimates. Identify and coordinate required permits and work order scheduling. Evaluate and analyze distribution design requirements and their impact on the system. Utilize project management tools to track milestones and ensure timely completion of projects. Perform field visits as necessary to meet customers and gather project scope. Use computer-aided design (CAD), SAP, and other software systems to manage project data. Generate tasks for internal departments and maintain regular communication on project status. Qualifications:Required Education: Associate degree in a technical or scientific field (minimum 48 semester credit hours), OR Completion of two years of college coursework (minimum 60 credits) toward a Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Required Skills and Experience: Valid driver's license. Working knowledge of gas and/or electric distribution systems. Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex project issues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows OS. Experience using CAD and SAP or similar software systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and independent problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
