This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of complex trust and estate matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in comprehensive estate planning, including the development of succession plans for businesses and the administration of complex estates. They will also be responsible for providing sophisticated tax advice and dealing with wills and probate matters. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a strong emphasis on tax issues. Responsibilities:1. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of trusts and estates law, including estate planning, probate, and trust administration.2. Draft, review, and revise a variety of estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.3. Assist clients in developing and implementing estate plans that meet their individual needs and objectives, including wealth preservation, family business succession, and minimizing estate taxes.4. Represent clients before taxing authorities and in probate court proceedings.5. Conduct legal research and analysis of complex trust and estate law issues.6. Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure that clients' estate plans are integrated with their broader financial and life goals.7. Keep abreast of developments in trust and estate law and tax regulations to ensure that clients' estate plans remain compliant and effective.Qualifications:1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a strong emphasis on tax issues.3. Admission to the state bar.4. Demonstrated expertise in drafting and implementing complex estate plans.5. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations related to estates and trusts.6. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships.9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.10.
