The English Learner Assessment Sales Consultant is responsible for increasing sales of Data Recognition Corporation assessment solutions within assigned territory. Primary responsibilities involve all aspects of managing a territory including: meeting assigned sales quota, creation and implementation of strategic territory marketing plan, developing key relationships within the English Learner (EL) decision makers, staying current with territory landscape, managing sales pipeline, maximizing new business, problem solving, marketing activities, reporting sales progress and market information via structured reports, delivering high impact product demonstrations that result in new business.Essential Position Responsibilities:Proven success selling to English Learner market.Proven success managing an assigned sales territory.Bachelor's degree required.Travel approximately 50% throughout assigned territory.Develop an overall sales and business development strategy for all assigned accounts within territory. Organize, maintain, and report account data and activity; utilize customer management software programs such as salesforce.com. Implement and execute individual territory marketing plan including focused marketing efforts. Maintain and grow business in existing accounts. Conduct online product demonstrations of the LAS LINKS suite to prospects.Present and report sales, sales trends, forecasting activities with DRC's sales management team.Attend and present at local, state, and district EL and assessment meetings/conferences. Keep up to date on EL policy, practices, and issues affecting public schools in assigned territory: know the landscape of targeted districts: mission, key initiatives, challenges, funding. Efficiently and effectively follow up with and manage all leads and opportunities (phone, web, referral, self-generated, etc.) within assigned territory for LAS Links assessments. Build effective networks within EL communities and with decision makers. Partner with internal resources to respond to bids and requests for proposals, providing text and representing DRC at presentations and related meetings.Provide LAS LINKS training to school districts (when needed).Manage LAS Links customer pilots that lead to sales.Work remotely Preferred QualificationsPassion and drive to share expertise and help EL students and teachers improve achievement. 3 - 5 years minimum successful sales experience of EL curriculum and assessment to schools, districts, and intermediate units.Experience with assessments and curriculumSolid understanding of classroom/education practices related to English learnersExpertise with Acrobat, Excel, Word, and HTMLExcellent project management and communication skillsAbility to effectively work within a matrix organization and at multiple management/executive levelsCreative and technical aptitudeEssential Job Requirements:5 years minimum successful outside sales experience (preferably K - 12) solution selling EL solutions to School District leaders, including Superintendents and Directors. Ability to close sales and meet annual sales goals.In-depth knowledge and expertise in K-12 and EL education including state and federal regulations, practices, issues, trends, opportunities. Established relationships within the K-12 and EL education community. Leadership and influence skills.Ability to create solutions to customer needs using LAS LINKS family of products.Ability to close sales and meet annual sales goals. Excellent communication and presentation skills - ability to relate well with customer base. Strong technical computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams and other virtual presentation platforms and CRM systems (currently Salesforce). Analytical skills to understand, interpret, and align digital information. Organization skills, time management, a self-starter, self-discipline, perseverance. Team player - externally within communities and internally with DRC staff. Ability to travel 50%. Bachelor's degree.Other duties as assigned.Reporting to this position: No direct reportsPhysical Requirements: Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8-hour periods of time.Ability to look at a computer monitor, utilize a keyboard and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per day.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as necessary.DRC retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
