This is a temp to hire opportunity that offers room for growth, good benefits and friendly work environment. As a Shipping and Receiving clerk you will: ?Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies;Collaborate and communicate with logistics suppliers, purchasing, customer service, production and others involved in the shipment and receipt of materials;Track, trace and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments;Promptly and accurately unload deliveries, sort, transactionally receive and stock receipts;Process return goods shipments and receipts, completing returned goods paperwork;Monitor carriers performance including freight costs cooperatively with Finance and Purchasing including providing recommendations on carrier and route alternatives to optimize reliability, speed and cost;Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed.Manage the cycle counts of materials to ensure the effective accounting of materials from raw materials, work-in-process to finished goods;Organize inventory of materials and supplies using sorting, racking, shelves, carts or bins to establish orderliness;Conduct frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory;Coordinate periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits;Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts;Cross-check inventory accuracy with system entries.The ideal candidate will have:High school diploma or equivalent required5+ years of relevant work experience in customer service, sourcing, materials, warehousing, distribution and/or shipping;Forklift certification within 60 days of job entry date;Schedule: 1st Shift 8am to 430pm Monday to Friday Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour DOEPay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
