Volt has a great opportunity for you! Volt is currently hiring a qualified Logistics Coordinator in Vacaville, California. As a Logistics Coordinator you will: Responsible for inventory in the warehouse; maintaining integrity of item counts, serial/lot control and assigned BIN locations. Ensure all products have correct bar-code labeling and are stored in the proper stock location.Utilize company ERPs and warehouse management system to record purchase order deliveries and inventory transfers and transactions. Ensure purchase order receiving are processed within 48 hours after delivery. Work with lead persons to ensure delivered inventories are recorded in GP for immediate sales order allocation.Utilize Fedex Ship Manager and other common carrier shipping tools to process daily parts orders and confirm freight pick up.Marks all delivered packages and packing slips with the actual delivery date.Process freight and miscellaneous vendor invoices for payment; submit payment requisition packet to Logistics Supervisor for approval.Assists with all outgoing sales orders; includes coordinating shipments with freight companies, dealers/customers and internal staff to meet target delivery dates. Audits outgoing orders by validating picking notes or packing list against the physical items. Reports all discrepancies to the Logistic Supervisor and Lead Persons.Utilize warehouse tools for the loading and unloading of trucks and for the uncrating and crating of equipment.Assists daily with packing small parts for shipment.Help with the staging of the main equipment; ensures item numbers, serial/lot and quantities on picking notes and packing slips match the physical products.Assists with scrapping obsolete inventories, unnecessary items and documents for shredding. Assists with maintenance and repairs of the facility. Maintains the overall condition of the warehouse, ensures the working areas are organized and well kept.Conduct and participate in special projects as assigned, ensuring completion within the required end date.Assist Operations Department staff as needed.Communicate with customers via phone and emailGeneral office/warehouse duties including but not limited to filing, archiving documents, order office supplies, organize/clean warehouse.Support the service dept. with calls, projects, estimates, service agreements, and ordering parts as needed. Job Requirements:Strong knowledge and understanding of warehousing procedures.Computer skills in Microsoft Word and ExcelProper analytical and problem-solving skills.Must be a self-motivated individual.Self-starter and Team Builder,Must be able to handle multi-tasking and to meet critical deadlines as well,Detail oriented and well organizedComfortable operating forklifts and delivery trucks (must pass background check and DOT regulations) This is a Temp to Hire opportunity. Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
