Job Title: HR GeneralistLocation: West Point Mill - West Point, VAPosition Summary:The HR Generalist will provide comprehensive human resources support at the West Point Mill facility. This role is responsible for labor relations, policy implementation, employee relations, recruitment, and talent management. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic partner to operations and serve as the primary liaison for union-related matters.Key Responsibilities: Foster strong relationships with frontline employees and supervisors to promote positive employee relations. Lead disciplinary processes including attendance, punctuality, conduct, and performance issues. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations through implementation of HR policies and procedures. Serve as the main point of contact for labor relations, including grievance management and union contract administration/negotiation. Advise supervisors and managers on employee relations, contract interpretation, and best practices. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to execute workforce planning and support training and compensation initiatives. Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns in a timely and fair manner. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience. Proven labor relations experience with unionized environments. Solid knowledge of employment law and federal compliance (e.g., OFCCP). Experience with HRIS and payroll systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to navigate change effectively. Collaborative with a demonstrated ability to influence across multiple levels.
