Assistant Director of IT Beltsville, MD (with 10-20% travel to other East Coast locations, including a new office just outside Nashville, TN) Up to $140,000 Annual Salary (plus 15-20% annual bonus) Why take this Assistant Director of IT position? What does the Assistant Director of IT do? Oversee all data and telecom infrastructures, ensuring availability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of critical communication services Lead network and physical security initiatives, implementing relevant, practical, and cost-effective technologies Evaluate and implement new technologies, including hardware and software acquisition, installation, integration, and maintenance Provide direct supervision and mentorship to a team of 6 IT operational staff Establish performance criteria, monitor systems, and forecast capacity requirements Provide expert analytical, diagnostic, and problem resolution services for business systems Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, IT policies, and procedures Forecast and recommend annual IT and Telecom budgets to senior management Manage IT licensing, services, and vendor relationships Provide on-call support for production systems and executives as required What are the requirements for the Assistant Director of IT? Minimum 10 years of in-depth experience in Systems & Network Architecture, Administration, Engineering, Project Management, and Security At least 5 years of proven experience in IT management and direct supervision of staff Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Exceptional hands-on technical expertise with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server Services, Microsoft 365 (including Exchange), Microsoft SQL Server, VMware vSphere & vCenter, Symantec Endpoint Security Complete, Veeam Backup & Replication, and Meraki System Manager Strong project management skills across system and network lifecycles Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences Proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Willingness to travel 10-20% to various East Coast office locations, including a new office just outside Nashville, TN Relevant IT certifications (MCSE, A+, Cisco, Dell, etc.) are a plus #CFSJUN2025#INJUN2025#CBJUN2025#ZRCFSTECH#LI-MH3
