Overview The Benefits Analyst plays a key role in the administration, analysis, and support of employee benefit programs across Canada. This position will support the Senior Benefits Supervisor in the delivery of health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, data-savvy, and familiar with benefit needs in both union and non-union environments, particularly in the construction or field services sectors. Responsibilities Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the administration of group benefit programs including health and welfare, RRSP, short- and long-term disability, and leaves of absence.Provide subject matter expertise on provincial and federal benefit entitlements, with strong knowledge of Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba regulations.Act as a point of contact for employee and manager benefit inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of issues.Coordinate with third-party providers for benefit enrollments, claims escalations, and leave/disability management.Prepare reports and analyses related to benefit utilization, costs, and trends using Excel and ADP.Assist in the planning and communication of annual benefits enrolment and other benefit-related campaigns.Ensure accurate data entry and file management in ADP and other HRIS platforms.Collaborate with payroll, HR business partners, and union representatives as needed on benefits-related matters.Remain up to date on legislative and regulatory changes impacting provincial health care, private supplemental coverage, and retirement plans. Qualifications Degree or Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.3+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations, preferably in a multi-provincial and unionized environment.Strong understanding of Canadian health and welfare programs, provincial health insurance, extended health care, disability programs, and RRSPs.Demonstrated knowledge of provincial benefit requirements and policies in Ontario, BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec.Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experienced with ADP or equivalent HRIS platforms.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.Bilingual in English and French (an asset, especially for Quebec-related work).Working ConditionsOffice-based in Hanover, MD the GTA, Ontario with potential for occasional travel to other states and provinces.Collaborative environment with cross-functional HR and operational teams.
