This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to provide free legal help to low-income Nevadans. You'll be a trusted advisor to the Executive Director and the Board, shaping the financial direction of NLS while ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecastsPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsEnsure compliance with GAAP and all relevant federal and state regulationsOversee internal audits, payroll, banking, and investmentsSupport fundraising and grant reporting with clear financial planningSupervise finance staff including Assistant Comptroller and Accounts PayableMaintain and improve financial systems, insurance coverage, and benefit plansTrain staff on financial procedures, including trust and litigation accountsThe CompanyThe mission of Nevada Legal Services is to strengthen the community by ensuring fairness and providing equal access to justice for low-income Nevadans.
