Job Description Onin Staffing is hiring a Machinist in the Decatur, AL area!We're looking for someone skilled in operating precision machine tools such as mills, grinders, and boring mills to fabricate, repair, and accurately shape metal parts according to engineering drawings. This role involves milling, turning, and grinding techniques, with a strong focus on quality inspection and control to ensure top-notch accuracy.️ ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines (mills, grinders, boring mills)Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsPerform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gaugesConduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machinerySafely rig and move large steel parts using cranesMaintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols✅ QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)Minimum of 2 years of experience with CNC and/or manual machining toolsStrong understanding of metal properties and machining processesAttention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to lift heavy materials and work in a manufacturing environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsShift: 2nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:30 PMSchedule: Monday-Friday (with occasional overtime)Apply now through Onin Staffing and start your next opportunity today!
