Electrical Estimator

To estimate construction projects utilizing all company resources, resulting in satisfied customers, increased productivity and increased profitability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Estimate various electrical projects whether bid spec, public, private, or design build. Perform take offs and develop cost estimates from the drawings and specifications. Compare vendor quotes to drawings for accuracy and completeness with plans and specifications. Draft scope letter with exclusions, inclusions and qualifications and clarifications. Attend required site walk throughs and meetings. Communicate with purchasing and subcontractors to secure schedule, scope and price. Consistently submit accurate, timely and complete estimates. Assist in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Consultation. Breakdown estimate by cost codes once project is awarded. Work with Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure accurate job transition from estimating to project management. Communicate and turnover material budgets, labor hours, schedule etc. and estimating information to project manager upon project award. Promote and enforce a safe working environment. Satisfy customers' needs to develop repeat business. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications : 5+ years minimum experience with residential, commercial, institutional and industrial electrical construction required. Proven track record of estimating and securing projects. Knowledge in reading plans and specifications. Knowledge and experience in design build, a plus. Knowledge of local codes. Skills: Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Strong time management and organizational skills. Great attention to detail. Ability to meet client deadlines. Knowledge of Procore, Accubid Classic and LiveCount estimating software preferred. Works well in a team. Works well independently. Microsoft office skills, including Word and Excel. Working CAD and/or BIM experience preferred.
