Shift: 2ND: 4:30 pm - 3:00 am Must have experience with CNC Mills/Lathes We use CNC lathes and CNC mills - must have this on the resume!!! Experience in using the following brands: Haas, Doosan, Mazak, Okuma, Prototrak, Swiss Lathes, CNC lathe, CNC mills, 3, 4, and 5 axis. Job Description: Sets up and operates conventional and numerical control machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by applying knowledge of machine shop theory, procedures, shop mathematics as assigned to produce high quality parts, enabling all production and scheduling needs to be met. Follows process sheets for selecting and installing tooling, offsets, fixtures according to specifications to prepare machine for operation, use of engineering part drawings and process plans, performs first piece approval, uses precision measuring instruments to ensure machined items meet quality specifications, reports malfunctions of machining equipment and process deviations to appropriate personnel. Responsible for the quality of work, which includes accurate counts and meeting production standards. Looks for ways to improve the manufacturing process (new fixtures, tooling, combining operations etc.) Checks cycle times, keeps work area clean and in order, follows all company safety procedures and guidelines. Depending on machines, may load work programs, take offsets, find zero. What do we want to know about you? Do you have general knowledge of machining techniques and methods? Are you able to set up and operate CNC machining equipment? Are you able to interpret engineering part drawings, use precision measuring equipment, and follow process sheets? Do you have proven math, reading, and computer skills? Are you able to receive and execute written or verbal instruction? Do you have a high school diploma or GED? Do you have 5 years of machining experience? What will your typical day look like? What about the physical demands of the job? Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching outward, lifting up to 20lbs. Frequent exposure to dust or vapors within OSHA limits and loud noises Occasional sitting, reaching up/over shoulder, climbing, squatting or kneeling, bending, lifting up to 50lbs. Occasional exposure to heat/humidity You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
