Warehouse AssociateNashville, TN 372072 Months Contract Mon-Fri, 9am - 5:30pmThey will be moving boxes all day and get a paid break ever 2 hours. After 4 hours they will get an unpaid lunch break.Dress Code: Khaki pants or shorts, Jeans, comfortable and closed toe shoes. No gym shorts, no yoga pants, no skin-tight clothing, no dangling/hanging clothing. This role will mostly consist of boxes coming to a series of desks that are equipped with shipping software and the worker processing those boxes one at a time. The worker will fill the boxes with a paper substance that keeps the parts from moving around too much, they will then print the label, seal the box and put it down a slide onto a conveyer belt that takes the box to a truck. This person will be mostly assisting with packing/loading the trucks, however, there may be some picking of orders from the warehouse floor. This role does not require the use of any large equipment. Just a hand cart at times. Responsible for performing various warehousing tasks. Position requires ability to complete assigned tasks and handle multiple product types. Position is labor intensive. Adheres to OSHA regulations in performing work tasks. Efficiently completes all activities assigned by warehouse supervisor or Team Lead. Responsible for maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness standards of the warehouse. Will be required to work at a rapid pace to meet work deadlines. Must have ability to learn various warehouse functions and processes. Jobs can include shipping ,receiving, stocking order pulling, material handling, loading and unloading trucks. Can be required to operate powered and non powered Material Handling equipment (Training can be required). Responsible to adhere to all OSHA requirements (training will be provided). Ensures all paperwork is completed and properly processed. Financial Responsibility: can handle equipment in value from $1. to $150,000. Meets appropriate productivity /quality standards relative to job responsibility as outlined by manager. Can be part of a team that must have coordinated work efforts to complete department and overall operational goals. Performs other duties as assigned. These candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be on their feet all day. They will be moving boxes all day and get a paid break ever 2 hours. After 4 hours they will get an unpaid lunch break. The manager is looking for someone who has strong English speaking/reading skills. This person should be able to be fast and accurate working with their hands. Any kind of picking/packing experience is helpful, but not necessary.
