Buyer Planner

The Buyer Planner is responsible for identifying requirements, purchasing, and negotiating materials, equipment and supplies, and evaluating vendor quotes and services to ensure they are compatible with organization objectives. This position will oversee purchasing logs and records to ensure accuracy and follow through, and monitor quality of goods by reviewing costs, schedules, timeliness of delivery, and conformance to specifications. This role is responsible for achieving objectives while exhibiting Storm Industries Core Values. Periodic Functions include: · Participate in Material Review Board as required to resolve supplier quality issues. · Participate and attend monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings. · Prepare and attend production meetings. · Other duties as required M Maintain production material inventory and purchase plan Monitor raw material inventory for SMD Manage purchase orders placed with suppliers Optimize material costs with production material availability Confirm supplier delivery dates for purchasing material and expedite orders Pull of inventory for blanket purchase orders to suppliers Drive raw material inventory reduction to achieve inventory turn Initiate production/purchase order changes Maintain and monitor raw material inventory to ensure supply Maintain raw materials and purchased parts inventory at target levels Maintain inventory stocking levels for raw materials Maintain purchase orders to support manufacturing Maintain acceptable levels of raw material inventory to support production while achieving inventory objectives Preparing and releasing purchase orders for production materials Administer and expedite purchase orders Manage and expedite purchase orders Scheduling the delivery of material from suppliers Placing and expediting orders from raw materials to finished goods inventory Maintain appropriate level of raw material inventory for assigned products/materials Optimize inventory levels to support demand requirements
