Area Production Manager

JOB PURPOSE:To provide management oversight and supervision of production responsibilities of multiple neighborhoods and the construction personnel associated with each.   Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees 4-10 neighborhood sites for the organizationEstablish and maintain construction site budgets; ensure budget complianceRecruit, train, evaluate, manage and mentor staff at the supervisor levelDevelop accurate and timely settlement reportingOversees the selection and coordination of subcontractors working on various phases of home construction sitesEnsures government compliance with regards to construction site(s)Oversees policy and procedures compliance with regard to the home construction processConducts weekly production meetingsDevelops and administers training programs for Project Managers and SuperintendentsMeet with Community Sales Consultants to discuss and coordinate home construction activityMonitors Customer Satisfaction SurveysManage one or more home communities as business needs dictateWorks closely with the Director of Production and Purchasing Manager to maintain vendor base, reduce VPO's and bring down costsOther duties as apparent or assigned   QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and Skills Ability to work under pressureAbility to multitask; coordinate numerous activities and groups of peopleStrong oral and written skillsStrong team player; works with diverse groups of peopleCommitment to company valuesCommitment to customer service Education and Work Experience Bachelor's Degree in related field and 3-5 years experience in homebuilding construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience Experience in supervising or assisting new home construction projects
