As a Forge Helper you will:Sweeps dies and operates all furnace controls, including door, hearth, and car.Cleans and lubricates dies, functions as a scale blower, and uses tools to set dies and trimmers.Sets up and uses impression stamps.Assists in forging metal products by loading bars, billets, or blooms into the furnace using a hoist.Utilizes hand tools such as impact wrenches and sledgehammers.Transfers workpieces to and from workstations, including the furnace, hammer, and trim press, using tongs or a hoist.Removes scale from workpieces and dies using a broom or air hose.Cleans the work area, machines, tools, and equipment.Understands the roles and responsibilities of each member of the press or hammer crew during operations.Reads and comprehends shop traveler, operating procedures, daily production reports, and other work instructions.After completing a predefined training period, gains basic knowledge of materials and forging practices, including the safe operation of floor manipulators.Requests clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives when uncertain about company policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.This is a Full Time 2nd Shift Opportunity Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 1:00am Pay Rate: $20.21 per hour The ideal candidate will have:A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.A relevant certificate from a technical school is advantageous but not required.Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable but not essential.At least 1 year of related work experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds repeatedly.Capability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and work at heights intermittently for up to 12 hours.Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Requires hand manipulation skills, including simple grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials.Must be able to reach and work above and below shoulder level.Ability to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.Constant exposure to moderate noise levels.Working conditions may involve small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, coolants, varying temperatures, inside/outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for extended periods, and wet or uneven surfaces.Must be available to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if scheduled.Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
