Financial CounselorJob Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an Financial Counselor for a contract position in Morristown, NJ. The opportunity will be a year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Evaluates the patient's ability to pay for services and creates payment arrangements via cash, check, credit card, or payment plan as appropriate. Utilizes the Epic estimator tool to provide estimates and collect up-front payments, deductibles, and copays. Interviews patients at bedside, on the phone, or in the office to determine eligibility for financial assistance. Completes and approves or submits completed applications for charity care, Medicaid, and 501R. Obtains insurance information, checks eligibility for active coverage, and updates patient accounts accordingly. Answers and returns phone calls and performs other general office tasks.
