The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with specialized knowledge in interventional radiology procedures. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by conducting thorough assessments and educating them on the process.Assist physicians during procedures by managing equipment, monitoring patient vitals, and providing necessary support.Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed while observing for any adverse reactions.Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, procedure details, and post-procedure care.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards throughout all procedures.Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns.Years of Experience: 1 year(s) Certifications: ARRT Advanced Cert, ARRT R, BLS Charting System: Epic Requirements Neuro and Stroke experience in IR Previous experience in interventional radiology or related fields is highly desirable. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
